A single-storey family house that follows the slope of an old orchard near Sonoma. Deep eaves, rammed earth walls and long views keep the rooms cool through the summer.

Laurel
A family house set low into a sloping orchard, with every room opening onto its own piece of garden. The plan follows the sun from the kitchen at dawn to the terrace at dusk.
Rammed earth walls, timber screens and a single long roof make the house feel calm from the road and generous from the inside.
